Termination of Pregnancy for Medical Reasons (TFMR/TOPFA)
Helping Providers Help Patients.
Welcome.
My name is Dr. Erica Goldblatt Hyatt, and I am a clinician, academic, and administrator at one of the nation's largest research universities. I possess a dual appointment in the Rutgers School of Social Work and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School as an associate professor.
I am also a mother who ended a much-loved, much wanted pregnancy after 20 weeks' gestation due to a rare and deadly fetal anomaly.
The goal of my work is to introduce medical providers to the psychosocial and spiritual issues facing this population and to ensure that the voices of women, their experiences of care, and their reflections are heard by TOPFA providers.
